Who is Bjj and Surf Experience

This experience was created for the BJJ and Surfing enthusiasts who wants to travel to Brazil, train and/or surf in an exotic place, adventure, meet new people learn the culture and  experience the lifestyle. 

Built with the intent of creating experiences/memories of a lifetime we have more than 25 years of experience combined in both BJJ and Surfing

Bjj  Surf Experience offers a program to meet everyone’s needs.

Whether you are a surfer that wants to experience the waves in Brazil or a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enthusiast who wants to have a BJJ EXPERIENCE in Brazil.

Or whether you have never surfed before and always dreamed of learning or if you want to improve your BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU skills, we have the coaching that will enable you to reach your goals in a fun, comfortable and safe learning environment.

 

Who is Bjj and Surf Experience

I am your host Rodrigo who started surfing off the coast of Sao Paulo at a young age and soon it became my passion.

After many international trips to places like Peru , Mexico , El Salvador , Europe, Australia , Hawaii and Indonesia and many trips up and down the coast in Brazil where I got some experience in surfing and also traveling I decided to call Florianopolis home in 2003.

I started training BJJ in Sao Paulo in 1995 after a surf trip to Puerto Escondido where I met a friend that was a black belt who showed me some Jiu Jitsu moves.
Many years of training later where I could compete in some local tournaments until I got promoted to Brown Belt in 2002 and moved to Florianopolis in the next year.

Floripa and the neighborhood of Campeche specifically are beautiful with easy access to beaches, hiking, surfing, and good food. The accommodation is quiet and perfect in a residential area and transporting yourself is easy via uber, provided bicycle, Brazilian friends, or walking! You will learn so much, laugh a lot, and enjoy life... book for longer than a week if possible. :)

    Rodrigo was an amazing an responsive host. Easy to stay in touch with and provided great suggestions for my stay in Floripa. The home was clean and located right by a beautiful beach with breathtaking views About Jiu Jitsu, I had high expectations coming in and it honestly exceeded anything I could've imagined. Day 1 training had 8 black belts, 5 purple, 3 blue and 4 white. The instructor, The skill level, the detail, the team was like no other. Very welcoming environment with the perfect intensity to up your game. Best trip by far, I would recommend this to everyone.
